It all started with Kari and Michelle.  They were next door neighbors since Michelle was three years old in Mosinee, WI.  They grew-up, married fantastic guys (Jeff and Dan), and raised families.  Kari and Jeff planted their roots deep in Mosinee where she is a graphic design artist and Jeff has worked for the street department since 1998.  Michelle and Dan moved around the country while Dan’s business career advanced.  In 2012 they moved outside of St. Louis, on a gravel road.  Here is where Dan’s education started on how to properly fix and maintain their gravel driveway and the private road they shared with a handful of neighbors.

After 23 years in medical imaging Dan retired and the couple wanted to get back to Wisconsin for the fantastic summers.  Kari’s family has had a cabin on Grey Lake, outside of Lac du Flambeau, for generations.  It was here, while we were on vacation and talking about the state of the area roads, that Jeff and Dan decided to combine their different backgrounds and start a business. The Gravel Mechanics business was born.  It was soon after that Michelle and Dan bought a piece of property on Mitten Lake, 15 minutes from Kari’s family, and are in the process of building a home there.

 

In addition to our neighbors in New Melle Missouri, we are excited to join the Northwoods community and bring a high quality, reliable service to our neighbors in both locations.
